Teach me, my God and my King,<\/p>\n

In all things thee to see,<\/p>\n

And what I do in any thing,<\/p>\n

To do it as for thee:<\/p>\n

Not rudely, as a beast,<\/p>\n

To runne into an action;<\/p>\n

But still to make thee prepossest,<\/p>\n

And give it his perfection.<\/p>\n

A man that looks on glasse,<\/p>\n

On it may stay his eye;<\/p>\n

Or if he pleaseth, through it passe,<\/p>\n

And then the haev’n espie.<\/p>\n

All may of thee partake:<\/p>\n

nothing can be so mean,<\/p>\n

Which with his tincture (for thy sake)<\/p>\n

Will not grow bright and clean.<\/p>\n

A servant with this clause<\/p>\n

Makes drudgerie divine:<\/p>\n

Who sweeps a room, as for thy laws,<\/p>\n

Makes that and th’ action fine.<\/p>\n

This is the famous stone<\/p>\n

That turneth all to gold:<\/p>\n

For that which God doth touch and own<\/p>\n
